You’re Missing Just One Thing.
One of the hardest things is to accessorize outfits. Jewelry (and other accessories) were not a priority for me. I couldn’t care less about jewelry. Then I realized that accessories help pull your outfit together. Accessories are important. Adding accessories can be the difference between putting on makeup or leaving your face bare. Adding on accessories is not like doing drastic eyeshadow and eyeliner. It is the blush and the contour that you put on to help you stand out. Without jewelry or other accessories, you are just a plain canvas. Finding where to start was hard for me. Earrings and bracelets are a great place to start. You can never go wrong with pearl earrings and bracelets. For your bracelets decide if you like gold or silver and what type you prefer. Personally, I prefer Alex & Ani bangles. They are fun and surprisingly a great conversation starter. I cannot tell you how many times I have been in an interview or a professional setting where they would ask about them and if you picked them for a reason. It is fine if you are not a pearl girl. If you are not a pearl girl I would suggest still starting out with simple gold or silver earrings. Getting comfortable with accessories can be difficult. I still take off my bracelets while at work. I forget that I have earrings in at night. I have left my jewelry everywhere imaginable. When it comes to keeping track of where I place things, I am a mess. For this reason, I suggest not to buy expensive jewelry because if you are anything like me you’ll lose them.
Hope the few ideas that I have provided will help pull your outfit together and find your style.
